All body and sheet metal components are warranted against corrosion for 3 years or 36 000 miles whichever comes first.

Sheet metal from gm genuine parts is also the only replacement sheet metal to benefit from the gm oe elpo electrocoat primer process. All body and sheet metal components are warranted against rust through corrosion for 6 years 100 000 miles on gmc and chevrolet cars and light duty trucks or 6 years unlimited miles on buick and cadillac cars and light duty trucks. The chevrolet warranty includes both federal and california control system warranties. Application of additional rust inhibiting materials is not required under the corrosion coverage and none is recommended.
